This place is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is known for its stunning ancient temples built by the Chandela dynasty. It is made along the Ken River. The falls are said to be a natural canyon, which is made up of pure crystalline granite that has hues of pink, red, and grey. The force of the waterfall multiplies during the monsoon, making it look like a beautiful cascade falling. As the river makes its way, it cuts through these colourful rock formations, which people come from far places to see.
On the banks of the Ken River, it is home to the endangered Gharial. A boat ride in the morning or afternoon will make you spot several of them. They come out of the water, and you can see these reptiles basking on sandbanks for sunlight to fall, along with crocodiles and a variety of birds.
Known as the only active Diamond mine in Asia at Majhagaon.
